Creating hello world - movie version

1. Edit the front page layout. For Block type, drop down and select "Video (Manual)" then click "Add block.
2. Click "Send for publishing" button at the bottom to publish the layout change.
3. Know the location of the video file and type to be uploaded from your machine. Smaller file sizes upload more quickly, quicktime files typically end with .mov extension, flash video files with .flv extension.
4. Decide upon a logical location within the "Content Structure" of the site to store the soon to be uploaded image. For now just use the "Home-frontpage" location that is the default location when first logging in to the admin interface. But note that there is a "Media library" tab expressly for the purpose of storing media that may find re-use on the site.
5. At the bottom of the Home-frontpage window, is the drop down used to create the hello world article. A .mov file uses the "quicktime" type, an .flv file the video/flash player type. Choose the correct type, then click "Create here" to open a web form that is tailored for the upload of a video. Most importantly, this form contains a button that when clicked opens a file browser on your local machine, allowing you to choose the desired file for upload.
6. **Advanced Notes -- standard PHP settings often restrict uploads to maximum of 2mb, video files are often larger than that. Also be aware that large files likely will put a temporary freeze on editing activities while the file uploads, and that the upload could take a very long time on a slow connection.
7. Fill in the rest of the form and click "Send for publishing" to create the new content within the site structure. Note that the new content is not yet available to the web viewing public, because the location within the site layout has yet to be determined.

7. Go back to step one, edit the front page layout, "Add item" to the Video block created in step one and "Send for publishing" to post the changes to the world wide web.
